Accounts Payable Specialist in our Duluth (Sugarloaf Parkway) office.
The responsibilities of this position include invoice and check processing, communicating directly with vendors in regards to account status, and providing excellent customer service to address any questions or issues.
The preferred candidate will:
- Possess full-cycle accounts payable experience
- Demonstrate analytical thinking with acute attention to detail
- Have problem solving and resolution skills at a functional level
- Be able to reconcile GL, expense reports and bank statements
- Manage weekly check processing to ensure timely payments within company terms
- Be multi-tasked oriented with ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Be willing to address emergency situations upon request with a positive customer focused attitude
- Be able to work with little supervision and perform other duties as required or requested
- Be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 - 5 years experience in accounts payable
- High school diploma or equivalent required, prefer college coursework or degree in accounting, finance, or business. If a degree is not obtained, related job experience is required.
- Must have strong computer proficiency with working of MS Office, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with financial accounting programs strongly preffered – specific training is provided
